Relations is a simple tool to determine if
a child's face is growing properly. FINDER makes
one easy measurement to help alert a concerned parent
or dental professional about dental/facial development.
FINDER
measures the COSMETIC LINE,
a linear measurement from the biting edge of the
upper front teeth to the tip of the nose. The norm
for the cosmetic line is the age of the person plus
23. This millimeter measurement varies only slightly
with body size. An increase of 5mm or more from
these standards indicates underireable facial growth.
With early recognition, dentofacial orthopedic
treatment can improve
the growth of the face unlike any treatment to
"simply" straighten teeth at a later
age.
